In the FrameWe are Brian King and Andrew Dixon. We are both painters and have known each other since we were art students back in the 1980s. Andrew paints the portraits in our videos and Brian does the interviewing, filming and editing.

THE CONCEPT
Essentially the idea is to get hold of interesting people, stick them in a chair and get them to talk about their life and interests whilst having their portrait painted. We film it all and then edit it into a split-screen format. The painting is speeded up to be seen evolving from start to finish on one side of the screen, whilst the sitter chats away in real time on the other. It is then put up on our YouTube channel, YouBend, for general viewing.
